Having wanted and nagged husband to visit Scarborough for sometime and finally managing to get the time off work to go we have enjoyed ourselves immensely staying in the Executive Sea View Suite of the www.CrownSpaHotel.com. We enjoyed the lovely fireside bar down stairs, Brandy, dinner in the hotel and complementary use of the Sauna rooms (1 aroma sauna, 1 tropical sauna and 1 standard sauna) Jacuzzi, Gym and Swimming pool and luxury changing rooms, open between 6.30am and 9.30pm. Our room has breathtakingly beautiful sea views and I've been to It's In Your Jeans (itsinyourjeans) (and bought a bargain pair of Hudsons, http://www.hudsonjeans.com http://video.wmagazine.com/fashion-films/hudson-cabaret, jeans that are so stretchy ballerinas were advertised dancing in them). The couple who run it, were very knowledgeable about this area of the fashion industry and as Goodhousekeeping (www.goodhousekeeping.co.uk/) has reported in one or two additions, a pair of jeans is a crucial piece of attire for anyone's wardrobe, I am now relieved I have found a good pair I can wear weekends/parties/dress down days and holidays like these. Apparently you also don't need to wash jeans like other items of clothing. One brand of jeans, I can't remember name, can be worn for 6 months and then just hang up and sprayed with www.febreze.co.uk, to freshen them up.
We also enjoyed a big breakfast and yorkshire tea for £9.95; paid for by Visa and half the price of breakfast in the hotel, at Roundel, http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Roundel/308382742537859. The place was decorated in a 60s/70s style with photographs of the Stones, The Who and others on the wall. They offered free use of The Times, Independent newspapers as well as periodicals like Scooterworld. They were also a useful information point on things to do in and around Scarborough such as the STJ Theatre.
