We booked through www.thomascook.com and flew with can't remember at the moment but think it was Thomson. We had to sit apart an isle as you had to pre-book your seats and pay an extra surcharge in order to ensure you got seats together. We flew from Heathrow? They served an inflight meal and I think you got a few free drinks. You had a TV in the back of the headrest of the seat in front and I'm not sure if they charged for headphones so you could listen to the inflight movie or not.
Stayed at www.clubsolaris.mx, which was next door to another resort: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?cid=5578593283212832068&gl=uk&hl=en… in Cancun and we had all inclusive use of both resorts facilities.
We went for a twin break so in the second week stayed on a resort in the http://www.realresorts.com/The-Royal-Playa-Carmen/ Playa Del Carmen. The room had a sea view balcony, where we got to see the sunrise every morning and there was a swim up bar and a inclusive restaurant on the beach. Hotel was directly on the beach. Second resort was also near beach but near town as well. Our room didn't overlook the beach this time but we had a whirlpool bath in the room the same as in the other resort. Didn't visit Coco Bongos http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?cid=6131874830113572479&q=Coco+Bong…, which was near by, but did have a picture taken outside. Ate mainly in the inclusive restaurants in the resort. Got free transfers from airport to the resorts. Also went on an excursion to visit Chichen Itza www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chichen_Itza. This was very enjoyable and we got to meet lots of Mayen children who performed a dance for us and served us a lovely buffet dinner.
