Been going here for a while, used to be called Edwards and probably a few other things. Maybe new name means new management. They do several 2 for 1 offers for lunch during the day like burger and chips & lasagnage for £5.99 (without drink on top), it is a good price for two to sit somewhere and eat in comfort but if you only have an hour for lunch, again it is a bit tricky to fit everything in.

I have been in here several times waiting for husband to get back from London on the train or with friends from University. I like the little carriages/dining tables a bit like the ones you see on old fashioned trains and I've enjoyed a filter coffee or two in there many times. However once I was passing on my lunch break and tried to use the loo...there was a lot of fuss because I wasn't a 'patron' so I have tended to avoid this pub and stick to ones that more understanding in these emergency situations.

Used to like the starter of tomatoe soup with a bread roll, its quite light and filling and I sometimes ask for it as a main course instead of a starter and a main. As this is usually too much.

I have visited The Dog & Gun Country Restaurant‎, Boreham Rd, Great and Little Leighs, Essex CM3
01245 360 211, a few times having first being introduced to it by a now sadly department friend. I have taken relatives here who have been equally as impressed by the excellent menu and pleasant indoor or outdoor seating options.

The portion sizes for the starters, mains and deserts are always reasonable and there is plenty of options on the menu for everyone, my Aunt being a vegetarian for example really enjoyed it.

We visited http://www.jollysailor.com/ today and enjoyed one fruit beer, one and one shandy (can't remember brand of beer used), one whole tail scampi, peas and chips and one chicken kiev with chips and peas. We ordered our food inside at the bar choosing a table number from outside and sat on table 14 not far for the Quay eating our food and drinking our beer whilst looking at the old sailing barges and surroundings of the quay.
