We picked up a Welcome to Salisbury 2012/13 Tourist Information map from the Tourist Information Centre, Fish Row, Salisbury. Tel: 01722 342860 from the Milford Hall Hotel, the receptionist was very helpful in advising us of places to visit like the market and various clothing shops (there are a lot of good ones like Kew, WhiteStuff, and the Crew Clothing company dotted around, when i say good, selling practical comfortable clothes that look like they will last and at a reasonable price.

There are lots of adverts on the map and a lot of the places we didn't visit. There is also an advert for Coombe Touring Caravan Park, The Race Plain, Netherhampton, Salisbury, SP2 8PN tel/fax: 01722 328451 - a rural Caravan and Camping Park in landscaped surroundings, adjacent to Salisbury racecourse, 4 and half miles from Salisbury. Family run, open all year. Facilities include: toilets, showers, laundry, dishwashing sinks, childrens play area, electric hock-ups, static vans available for holiday lets only. ANWB & RACE Recommended. Signposed. (I have been nagging husband to go camping for a long time, so maybe we can visit this place one day.
